Φίδι (fídi)

        φίδι ( “snake” in Greek )  is a light sculptures project, in collaboration with Nicolas Melemis. Epheremal objects inspired from vernacular lighting installations in construction sites. 

    φίδι starts with a vision during a city walk at night : the sight of a long thread of light winding throught an under construction space : the light goes down the stairs, up the walls, and all around the pipes. We were struck by the poetry of this light creature wandering in a brutalist space.

    From this vernacular strategy we develloped a serie of light sculptures, made from various materials.
